I was CoFounder of Crawley Black History Foundation in 2000 to 2015, where my highlight was inviting Kezia Obama (Barack Obama's step mother) to a "Yes We Can" event at the Hawth Theatre in 2009.I am a mother of two and have four grandchildren.I am a Trustee of Longley Trust, Crawley Community Action and Crawley Museum. Also a member of Crawley Campaign Against Racism. I won the Crawley Volunteer Award in 2021
